Terms of use

The Votre Santé platform is a simplified gateway for accessing care and services within the healthcare and social services network.

Who are we ?

Santé Québec is a government organization with the mission to offer healthcare and social services, and it is responsible for coordinating the operation of Québec’s healthcare and social services network.

Language

Pursuant to the Charter of the French Language, Santé Québec writes all its documents in French.
Certain content may be translated, but it is presented in a separate section (English). Only people covered by the exceptions should access the English section of our website. The people covered by the exceptions are:
  • People who have been declared eligible to receive schooling in English;
  • Indigenous people;
  • immigrants (for the first 6 months only);
  • people who corresponded exclusively in English with the Administration prior to May 13, 2012;
  • people living outside Québec.

Accuracy

Santé Québec makes every effort to ensure the accuracy, currency and reliability of the content and regularly reviews the pages and services offered on the platform. However, errors may occur and certain recent modifications may not appear.

The information presented on the platform never constitutes or replaces consultation with or the opinion of a healthcare or social services professional or the official texts of the laws and regulations of Québec.

Use of the services

All users are responsible for protecting their username and password. Users must keep this information strictly for their own use and must not allow anyone else to use it. Users must use the Votre Santé services only for their intended purposes. Any abuse of these services is prohibited and may result in penalties.

All users must immediately inform Santé Québec of any unauthorized use of a username or password or any attempted breach of access security.

Santé Québec may, at any time, refuse to allow a person to access the Votre Santé portal, if it has reason to believe that any of the terms of use has not been complied with or that a law has been broken. It also reserves the right to suspend or revoke access to the Votre Santé portal at any time, without advance notice or time limitations.

Links to other websites

Votre Santé offers hyperlinks to other websites that belong to third parties and are managed by them. These hyperlinks are posted to provide access to complementary services. Santé Québec cannot be held responsible for any harm or loss arising from the use of these other sites. The hyperlinks are identified by a small arrow icon ( external-link-icon ).

Availability of services

Santé Québec may temporarily interrupt access to part or all of the Votre Santé services without advance notice, mainly for maintenance reasons.

Personal information

Changes without advance notice

Santé Québec may change the information or services posted on Votre Santé without advance notice.

The information on Votre Santé belongs to Santé Québec, which holds the exclusive intellectual property rights.

The use of the Votre Santé portal implies the acceptance of the terms of use set out on this page. They may be modified at any time without advance notice. We recommend that you check them regularly.

Consent for minors

Pursuant to the applicable laws regarding consent for the collection of personal information and health and social services information or in terms of consent to care, minors under the age of 14 cannot log in or use the Votre Santé platform, including the referral thread. Such consent must be provided by the holder of parental authority or the guardian of the minor under 14 years of age.
